Sixteen Springs Canyon RV Park and our personnel take pride in making sure our guests enjoy a pleasant stay!

Sixteen Springs Canyon RV Park is located in the center of a working cattle ranch owned by Connie Lee Bailey, heir to Sara Jo and Karl Patterson, the original owners. Sara Jo’s grandparents homesteaded in Sixteen Springs Canyon in 1887, at which time they deemed it “the most beautiful place on Earth”. To this day, the area remains one of the Southwest’s most beautiful natural environments. We are located in the heart of the Sacramento Mountains and Lincoln National Forest.

The Lincoln forest consists of 3 ranger districts: Sacramento, Smokey Bear and Guadalupe. There are three major mountain ranges: Sacramento, Guadalupe and Capitan that cover 1,103,441 acres in parts of four counties in southeastern New Mexico. Elevations range from 4,000 to 11,500 feet and pass through five different life zones from Chihuahuan desert to sub-alpine forest.

Our park personnel will do everything possible to ensure that you enjoy your vacation or weekend stay in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of Southern New Mexico. In addition, we hope that you will come back to visit us many times in the years to come. We know that you will enjoy Sixteen Springs Canyon RV Park as much as we would enjoy having you as a guest.

The altitude at the park is 7,600 feet above sea level, so all guests can ba assured of cool, comfortable day-time temperatures and even cooler nighttime temperatures. Summer days are warm enough for shorts and short sleeves; however, guests should always come prepared with jackets and warmer clothing, as a sudden rain shower in the afternoon can chill the mountain air. It would be a good idea for guests to bring an extra blanket or two during their visit.
